Wally's Tale

Wally and 15 other cats and 5 dogs were left homeless when their human mom passed away suddenly of a heart attack.

Even though she was kind enough to rescue these animals, they lived in very poor conditions. The cats had nothing to eat but Alpo and she did not provide them litter boxes.

Needless to say, Wally and his companions were in very poor shape when rescued. Even though Wally is a short haired tabby, his hair was so matted that he had to be partially shaved.

All of these animals were extremely shy making it an even more difficult task to place them in loving homes. Having said all of that, Wally's luck was about to change.

His foster mom drove all the way from Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas, to Minnesota to spend over a month with her parents for the Christmas holidays.. In tow, was Wally at her side.

With the help of Lynn and other wonderful rescuers in Minnesota, Wally's story was posted. It wasn't long before a sweet couple fell in love with his sweet shy demeanor and adopted him. Wally now shares his home with 3 other kitties and has acclimated to his wonderful new life happily.

Here's where we need YOUR help. Because Wally was on a diet of Alpo dog food for about 4 years, his gums are now permanently damaged and he suffers from a condition known as Stomatitis. His Vet says that he is going to need a complete tooth extraction at a cost of $1,000-$1,200.

While that seems extreme, Loxley, one of Wally's companions, also diagnosed with a severe case of Stomatitis recently had all of his teeth removed by one of our participating Vet's in Texas and after 10 days of recovery is playing and eating twice what he was able to before hand. He is on his way to a full recovery!

We have managed to raise $600.00 towards Wally's Vet care but still need $400 to $600. If you would like to help Wally, any amount would be greatly appreciated and can be donated via our PayPal link or mailed to us at P. O. Box 633452, Nacogdoches, Texas. All monies are tax deductible. If you have any questions about Wally, please email me at feralaristocat@yahoo.com or call me at (936) 556-2754.

Wally deserves a chance at a happy life. Won't you please help him?
