Viggo, once an abandoned kitten, soon found his way into Emily’s arms and heart. Once a tiny and frightened kitten, Viggo is now quite the social cat and adores his roommates dog. He also loves going home on breaks and visiting with Emily’s mom.
Emily knew that Viggo would like to visit his rescuers, so she brought him to one of our adopt-a-thons at Discovery Realm. Naturally Viggo was a big hit and everyone adored him!

Dear Miz Diana,
I think you already know me, but let me introduce myself. My name is Socrates Muffins Bates which makes me a Feline Felosopher. I have recently been adopted by my People Mama. We belong to a Mutual Admiration Society, she and I. I especially like it when she rocks me to sleep in the recliner.
I pretty much run this place now. I usually have the run of the house but sometimes I have to stay in my room (it has a bathtub in it). I have my own cat condo, my own food bowl, my own water bowl, and my own doo-doo box. It's cool. All my fellow cat relatives are nice except Jezebel (she told me I was not welcome) and Aunt Sugar (a black kitty). I couldn't figure out why one minute she wanted to play with me and the next minute she was slapping me around. Then my People Mama explained that the nice black kitty is Uncle Chuck. That was confusing! My Aunt Olivia just hisses and slaps me -- no questions asked.

I sleep with my People Mama at night unless I get rowdy and want to play all night. Then I have to go to my room. I sit in the big chair by the piano while she plays her music and sometimes it puts me to sleep. Every once in a while she lets me walk across the keyboard and play my own song. It's always lovely.
All in all, I would have to say that
Life is Good. Thanks for putting me together with my People
Mama. We've got the best of both worlds (human and feline).
Socrates

Gracie, formerly known as Mittens while in foster care, was rescued at 3-weeks of age along with her 3 siblings, from a concrete driveway off of Highway 259. Thank goodness her rescuer was able to trap both of the feral parents so that they could be spayed and neutered in order to ensure that fewer kittens will be born only to suffer tragically.
Happily, Gracie’s future is very bright. What better “forever home” could she have possibly hoped for then to share her home with a celebrity -- our very own District Attorney, Stephanie? She has only been living with Stephanie for a week now and is already spoiled rotten!

Tony was one of four kittens rescued from the streets of Nacogdoches at about 5 weeks of age. Mama and babies were all suffering from severe dehydration and upper respiratory infections and it was feared they would not make it through the night.
Happily, they not only made it through the night, but Missy, the Himalayan mama cat and three of her babies were soon placed in wonderful homes. Tony couldn’t understand why he wasn’t adopted. After all, he was by far the smartest, best looking one of the bunch!

Time went on and Tony soon became a year old. My how he grew into a beautiful, full bodied tabby cat. Every one of the little girls fostered with Tony simply adored him – he was gorgeous. Family after family came by and all adored him, but Tony just wasn’t the right size or color for them.
Then one day, a woman came by to visit our foster kitties and immediately fell in love with Tony. From that point on, Carol just could not get Tony out of her mind. Somehow Carol knew that Tony would make her family complete! Naturally, she was right. It took Tony a weekend of hiding underneath the bed before he realized he actually had his very own family to love and cherish.
After a year of wondering whether he would ever have his very own family, Tony now lives the life of luxury and has three adorable children to love and pamper him!

Lucky for Butterscotch a dear woman filled with compassion for abandoned animals, found Butterscotch wandering the streets. She could not bear to leave Butterscotch behind so Dorothy scooped her up and brought her home to her husband and 5 cats. Dorothy donated the spay and vaccinations and fostered her until Butterscotch went to live with her new family complete with cats, a three legged dog, horses and a beautiful little girl!
As you can see from the picture, Butterscotch managed to snuggle her way right into the arms of the man of the house! And who says cats can't reason!
